{"id":55,"date":"2012-05-09T23:00:28","date_gmt":"2012-05-10T04:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/?p=55"},"modified":"2012-05-17T12:54:00","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T17:54:00","slug":"medifast-journal-day-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/2012\/05\/09\/medifast-journal-day-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Medifast Journal Day #3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I slept well again last night but I&#8217;m tired today. \u00a0No energy and more problems concentrating. \u00a0I once thought I felt a tad dizzy but it is a sensation that I&#8217;m so unfamiliar with that I&#8217;m not sure really what it was. \u00a0It passed quickly.<\/p>\n<p>It didn&#8217;t take long for a monkey wrench to be thrown into the daily routine I was trying to maintain. \u00a0My wife called with the informational tidbit that her vehicle had a flat tire at work. \u00a0The vehicle, a minivan, was fairly new to us and she was unsure if it had a spare or a jack. \u00a0We had just installed new tires on it not to long ago and never really gave the spare tire or jack a thought until now, when we needed them.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to leave work and head home, get my jack and travel to her work with the notion to just take the tire off and bring it to the tire center for repair. \u00a0On my way home she called to let me know that she did indeed have a spare and jack, both of which were buried inside the interior lining of the back of the van, interesting place to put them.<\/p>\n<p>I detoured to her work and removed the tire to take in not wanting her to drive on a donut if she didn&#8217;t have to. \u00a0It was about lunch time and I realized that I had forgotten to bring any of my Medifast Meals with me. \u00a0A crunch bar would have been a perfect on the go meal at that time but I didn&#8217;t have one. \u00a0What to do?<\/p>\n<p>I dropped the tire off and ravenously hungry I looked for a place to get a lean meal for lunch. \u00a0I would have my lean and green early today and just eat a Medifast Meal as my supper. \u00a0Well, tired and hungry, with no energy and having spent the last hour taking off a van tire I&#8217;ll admit I wasn&#8217;t in the best state of mind to make a sound choice.<\/p>\n<p>There wasn&#8217;t much of a choice around and I spotted a Skyline Chili nearby. \u00a0I love Skyline Chili but haven&#8217;t eaten there in a long time mainly because of their Anti-Gun policy but I had to eat and I had to eat NOW so I went in and looked at my options. \u00a0I passed on the traditional oyster crackers and ordered water while I perused the menu. \u00a0Potato, out. \u00a0Pasta, out. \u00a0Salad possible but not filling enough and no protein for my lean and green meal. \u00a0I finally decided on a plain bowl of chili, no bean, no cheese, no onion and a side salad. \u00a0I missed the toppings but after 2 days of dieting the chili tasted dynamite and the salad was gone in no time. \u00a0I felt guilty for having &#8220;cheated&#8221; already but what could I do?
