{"id":51,"date":"2012-05-07T23:00:25","date_gmt":"2012-05-08T04:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/?p=51"},"modified":"2012-05-17T13:52:57","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T18:52:57","slug":"medifast-journal-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/2012\/05\/07\/medifast-journal-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Medifast Journal Day #1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was the first day on the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.medifast1.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Medifast 5 &amp; 1 plan<\/a>. \u00a0The plan states that you can eat every 2-3 hours and choose one of their Medifast Meals. \u00a0Along with those 5 one of your meals is a Lean &amp; Green meal which consists of 5-8 ounces of a lean protein and 2-3 cups of low carb vegies. \u00a0By eating every couple of hours your metabolism increases and each Medifast Meal is about 100 calories so that along with a 300-500 calorie Lean &amp; Green meal means my daily caloric intake will be drastically lower than I&#8217;m accustomed to. \u00a0My main fear is being hungry as I don&#8217;t do well when I&#8217;m hungry.<\/p>\n<p>My morning started with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.medifast1.com\/Products\/Site\/Medifast_Direct_Products\/MedifastMeals\/Bars\/prd~65205.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">Lemon Meringue Crunch Bar<\/a> which was ok. \u00a0I love lemons and thought this would fit with my tastes. \u00a0As I said, it was ok but\u00a0definitely not something I was used to eating.\u00a0\u00a0Most of the Meals that aren&#8217;t ready to eat come in a powder form that you mix with water.\u00a0 \u00a0I followed the plan, trying different items every 2-3 hours. \u00a0I never really felt hungry but never really full either. \u00a0The powdered meals don&#8217;t seem to mix well initially but as they heat in the microwave they tended to emulsify better.<\/p>\n<p>I had pan seared chicken with\u00a0zucchini\u00a0and salad for my dinner lean &amp; green meal and have been drinking water all day as recommended. \u00a0I miss milk already but if today is an indicator of future days I think I can do this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was the first day on the Medifast 5 &amp; 1 plan. \u00a0The plan states that you can<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[13],"class_list":["post-51","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-medifast","tag-medifast-journal-chicken-zucchini"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=51"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=51"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=51"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.rogue-cavern.net\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=51"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
