Many years ago, I created this website as an exercise in fun, learning and a yearning to be free from the confines of most available cookie cutter web hosting services. Creating my own content, installing my own blogging software, modifying my own CSS, and playing with PHP have been fun and having my own email domain was definately a plus. Over the past 4 years or so, however, things got pretty stale and I mainly left the site as it was. I created a new desgin for it and then let it go as life got busy and things other than updating a website appeared more important.
This changed a few weeks ago. I began a new stage in my life where I wanted to lose some weight and decided to try the Medifast plan. I've never dieted before but I need to shed some weight (ok, a lot of weight) and figured I might as well chronicle it in a journal of some sort. What better way than to share my experience on my website and blog that I hadn't touched in years.
So, with that in mind, I updated the software, widened the page a bit to more match today's standards and started blogging. Since I'll be on the site more I might as well add some more reviews and ideas, perhaps on differnt foods I'll try on the diet or ways to prepare meals.
